Guide to Pump Jack Pole Feet and Anchors

A pump jack scaffold is only as solid as the poles under it. The feet spread the load, the anchors keep the poles from walking, and the braces tie the whole setup together. Crews that skip those parts and rely on the pump jack alone end up chasing a wobble all day. Dallas Ladder stocks the full Werner and Titan pump jack line, including the small parts that keep a setup tight.

Start at the Ground

Every pump jack pole needs a foot under it. A Werner pump jack pole foot at $9 spreads the load of the pole and the working platform across the surface instead of letting a bare pole edge dig into soil or crack a finished slab. On asphalt and concrete, feet also keep the pole from creeping as the platform loads and unloads.

From there, the pole anchors go on. A four-pack of Werner steel pole anchors at $42 ties the poles to the wall or to each other so the setup cannot separate under load. This is the part inspectors look for first, and it is the cheapest insurance on the whole scaffold.

Set at the ground: Pole feet under every pole, and anchors tying the poles so the setup cannot separate.

Finish at the top: End rail kits, rigid support braces, and a safety net where work passes over people or openings.

Bracing and the Working Platform

Poles that are not braced will flex, and flex shows up as a platform that moves when a crew shifts weight. Add the braces the manufacturer calls for at the heights the manufacturer specifies, and use the end rail kits on the platform so nobody steps off the end. Our Werner narrow end rail kit at $259 and the rigid support brace at $115 are the pieces that turn a set of poles into a working scaffold.

Where the crew is working over an opening or above a walkway, add the Werner pump jack safety net. It is the difference between a dropped tool and a dropped tool on someone below.

Werner or Titan

Both brands hold up on DFW exterior work. The Titan aluminum pump jack at $244 is the lighter setup and the one crews use for siding and painting runs, with the Titan work bench at $129.36 and the Titan foldable brace at $71.50 completing the kit. The Werner aluminum pump jack at $272 is the other common choice, and both use the same pole and connector system.

Poles and connectors are on the floor at 5030 Dexham Rd. Ste. 103 in Rowlett, TX in aluminum for both brands. Call 972-331-1090 with the wall height and we will put together the full parts list for your setup.
